Gentian

The person is like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. They are pessimistic; anticipate the worst; repeated failures- one step forward and three steps back. Nothing they have accomplished has stuck. The person is easily discouraged when things go wrong or when there are difficulties. However, the person refuses to believe that it is one's own lack of faith and understanding that prevents overcoming problems. The person may be making progress and then one small delay will dishearten the whole effort. The Gentian is different than the Gorse as the Gentian is willing to keep trying where Gorse has given up.
Gentian remedy can lift the feeling of discouragement sooner so that we are able to make things go right instead of just hoping they will. It gives the person the "where there is a will, there is a way" attitude, so they do not give up and are not affected by setbacks.
